Seating

There will be no mandatory seating chart in my classroom. However, there will be times in which students will be required to work with an assigned group. During this time, desks will be combined together (see Group Learning). When we are not using group work, desks will normally be in the traditional chart as seen below.

Daily Procedures

Theses daily procedures are expected of students every day (unless notified by myself) when they enter into class.
  • Arrive on time
  • Pull out necessary material for the day
  • Begin working on Daily Geography (see below for details)
  • Wait quietly when finished and prepare for my instruction for the day

Daily Geographyworld_600w.jpg
Each day, students will answer three geography questions that are posted on the board. Students will have the first five minutes of class to complete the questions (during this time I will be taking role and preparing for the daily lesson). Students will use atlases to complete the assignment. I strongly encourage students to buy their own atlas, however, I will have some available.

Course Material

I will complete this section upon hire. I will reference the textbook and any other sources students will need for the year.

Training

Students will be trained at the beginning of the year in every aspect of my class. They will learn daily procedures, expectations, and classroom rules. Basically, they will slowly develop an understanding of how I run the class. Eventually, these aspects will become second nature to my students and lead them to perform exceptionally well!

Accommodation
I reserve the right to modify seating and training methods based on individual students. Students or parents please contact me if you believe accommodations are necessary.
